St. Patrick Church Renovation Restoration | Miami Beach, FL
The project entailed comprehensive renovation and reconfiguration of the 600 seat, 1929 church. In order to bring the congregation closer to the celebrant, the Predella was forward from the Reredos towards the center of the church. The baptistery was fully redesigned and moved into a prominent position adjacent to the sanctuary. Shrine locations were altered to enhance worship. Extensive damage had occurred due to interior moisture. Full removal of all interior finishes, moisture abatement strategies and new finishes were applied throughout. Subsoil conditions required extensive structural upgrades to support the enlarged and relocated Predella and Baptistry.
