St. Patrick Church Renovation Restoration  |  Hartford, CT

The project entails the complete rehabilitation of the existing church. The design implements Vatican II liturgical standards in plan while remaining faithful to the church’s original Gothic brownstone design. In this manner, parishioners and celebrant are brought closer together in the context of a refurbished interior. The existing reredos was refurbished, reconfigured and brought forward with tabernacle to the front and All Saints Chapel behind.

Original lighting fixtures were restored and refurbished. Oak woodwork throughout the church was stripped and re-finished in a lighter tone to increase natural brightness. Phased construction so as not to disturb daily use.

The project followed historic preservation guidelines and also entailed a full energy audit, and the implementation of energy conservation measures.
